Welcome to ES Policy Blog!
The mission of this blog is to contribute to the public debate in Spain on global challenges and public policy through expert analysis and firsthand accounts from Spanish professionals working in key international institutions and organizations. We thereby aim to promote informed, rigorous, and constructive public debate on policy issues – free from ideological polarization, political hostility, and simplistic solutions.
We also hope this blog will contribute to strengthen ties within the global SPPN community by promoting members’ work; to enhance Spain’s visibility in the international arena by amplifying the ideas and perspectives of professionals engaged in global policy discussions; and to inspire the next generation of Spaniards to pursue careers in global governance and public affairs.
The authors contributing to this blog are members of the Spanish Public Policy Network (SPPN), including both professionals and students with diverse backgrounds in public policy and international affairs. Many work in multilateral institutions such as the UN, IMF, World Bank, or the EU; in foreign think tanks and universities; or in diplomacy, international development, and the private sector on issues of public interest. You will also find occasional contributions from senior collaborators and external experts whose insights enrich the conversation. Publications may be written in Spanish or English.
